Ethiopia, Safaricom’s M-PESA and EagleLion System have partnered to streamline the merchant onboarding process, aiming to provide a more comprehensive and integrated approach for merchants in the country.

This agreement aims to streamline the merchant onboarding process improving the economic and business trade industry.

Promoting Financial inclusion and Economic growth 

Through this partnership, M-PESA and EagleLion aim to promote financial inclusion, drive economic growth, and enhance the digital payments ecosystem in Ethiopia.

The partnership encompasses various tasks, including Know Your Customer (KYC) collection, contract signing, branding, activation, and QR code placement. This collaboration will enable merchants in Ethiopia to seamlessly join the M-PESA platform, expanding the reach of digital financial services in the country.
